LOA Policy
1. Purpose
The Leave of Absence (LOA) policy at LSMRP aims to provide clear guidelines for players who need to step away from the server while ensuring minimal disruption to the community. This policy helps maintain gameplay integrity and engagement by establishing procedures for requesting, approving, and returning from an LOA.
2. Eligibility
Players are eligible to apply for an LOA if:
- The LOA request is for up to 14 consecutive days.
- Requests exceeding 14 days are authorised by the Community Lead or a designated staff member in their absence.
3. Requesting LOA
To request an LOA, players must:
- Submit a support ticket 24 hours before leave begins.
- Include the following details:
- Player's in-game name
- Player's Discord ID
- Duration of leave (start and end dates)
- Optional: Reason for LOA
- Access the LOA form here.
4. Approval Process
- LOAs for up to 14 days are automatically approved, provided all required information is submitted.
- Requests exceeding 14 days require approval from the Community Lead or designated staff member.
5. Returning from LOA
Players must notify their respective command teams upon returning from LOA to update records and reintegrate into the community. Staff members must notify their senior moderator. Upon returning, players are expected to:
- Re-familiarise themselves with server rules.
- Actively participate in community activities.
6. Responsibilities During LOA
Players on LOA are expected to:
- Refrain from accessing the server or participating in related activities.
- Communicate any changes to their LOA (e.g., early return, extension) promptly to the Community Lead.
7. Extensions and Modifications
- Requests for extensions or modifications must be submitted before the LOA expires.
- Extensions beyond the approved period require additional review by the Community Lead.
8. Grade 2+ Players Requirement
Players holding a Grade 2 or higher rank must inform their respective Grade 3 counterpart when requesting an LOA. This ensures proper delegation of responsibilities during the absence.
9. Violations and Consequences
Non-compliance with this policy or misrepresentation of information may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal.
10. Administration Discretion
The administration reserves the right to amend this policy as necessary. Changes will be communicated to all players promptly.
11. Communication
Open and transparent communication between players and the Community Lead is encouraged throughout the LOA process.
12. Policy Acknowledgment
By submitting an LOA request, players acknowledge their understanding and agreement to comply with this policy.
