FivePD Guide
Joining the Department
When you first join the server, you will not be within the 'department' and therefore need to join. On connection to the server, press F11 and toggle 'On Duty'. Once on duty, it should notify you on the bottom left of your screen. If it states your name rather than a callsign, it means you are not in the department.
To join the department, access the in-game MDT while inside a vehicle. Type /vs in chat to open the vehicle menu and spawn a car. Response officers can only spawn Response or Retro vehicles. Once inside, press B and join the department.
Basics
Press F11 to bring up the duty menu. From here, you can place yourself 'On Duty' and adjust menu options. Move the menu position to the right side of the screen to avoid overlapping with in-game chat. While on duty, you can perform tasks such as traffic stops and pedestrian stops.
Callouts
Once on duty, random events will appear on your minimap. For example, an AI vehicle breaking down can be resolved using the G Menu. From the Dispatch section, you can request a mechanic or tow truck to assist.
Speed Zone
Set temporary speed zones to ensure safety while assisting AI. Access the Speed Zone Menu via G Menu > Scene Menu > Speed Zone Menu. Choose a speed and radius for the zone. Always remember to remove the speed zone before leaving the scene.
AI Ped Stops
To stop a pedestrian, walk up to them and hold the E button. They may comply or attempt to flee. Once stopped, interact further by pressing X to access the ped stop menu, where you can perform ID checks, searches, and other tasks. Ensure they are uncuffed before dismissing them.
AI Vehicle Stops
Initiate vehicle stops by positioning yourself behind the target vehicle, activating your emergency lights, and pressing Left Shift. Vehicles may either stop or fail to comply. Once stopped, walk to the driver's side and observe any prompts (e.g., smell of alcohol). Interact with the driver using the X Menu for licence checks, questioning, and tests like breathalysers.
